OWNER AND INSTRUCTOR
Geri Sheffey is a native of Wethersfield, CT, and a graduate of Bay Path College, in Longmeadow, MA. During her school years, she performed in several tap, ballet, and acrobatic competitions. Geri’s family retired to the Sedgefield community in 1999 after her husband’s 21 years of naval submarine service. Her pride and joy are her two sons who participated in cotillion classes at Sedgefield, assisted her in teaching cotillion, and are now grown.
Geri is in her eighth year of teaching and continues to study dance under the direction of Fred Astaire Studios and Tim Sanders Dance. She continues to create new curriculum each year along with new line dances to share with her students. Her cotillions continue to grow and move in new directions. Currently she teaches at 8 different locations throughout North Carolina and Virginia. Geri’s passion for teaching cotillion continues to grow each year!
